" The chosen people of Allah []SwT] remain the ones abiding by the message, as conveyed by chosen messengers."''We ordained for children of Israel that if anyone slew a person--unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief on the land--it would be as he slew the whole people and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of whole people. Then although there came to them our Messengers with Clear Signs, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land'' [5:32]
.
The holy verse, as ordained, leaves no room for individual acts of assassination and revenge. The children of Israel had the message delivered to them through appointed messengers of Allah [SwT] with as glaring a clarity as 'Ten Commandments' the commandments delivered to Moses/Hazrat Mousa (A.S) on Mount Sinai. They however transgressed norms, in spite of the message delivered to them not only by Moses and Aaron/Hazrat Haroon (A.S) but also by Saul/Hazrat Talut (A.S) David/Hazrat Daoud (A.S) and Solomon/Hazrat Suleiman (A.S).
.
Israelites had been delivered from tyranny of Pharaohs, the exodus occurred by divine intervention, they had everything going for them in the land they were favoured with. The united Kingdom of Israel provided to them, a combine of northern and southern kingdom worked out by David and sustained by Solomon, was thus lost. The favour was bestowed on another nation. The jealousy of Israel however knew no bounds, as Israelites plunged into deeper sin, indulging in murder and revenge.
.
What holds for children of Israel in the divine word could be true of any people in any land. The chosen people of Allah [SwT] remain the ones abiding by the message, as conveyed by chosen messengers. The last of messengers--Prophet Mohammad [pbuh] conveyed the message with clearest of signs, the signs are there for all to see, fathom and abide by for staying relevant.
