Oil---a product of geological events

Al-Quran explains the phenomenon

Oil assumes importance, being the principal export of Islamic world, in the deserts of Arabia stretching from Gulf to Northern Africa. Called the black gold, it is a money spanner providing economic sustenance. Oil is a product of geological events, foretold in Al-Quran:
(Your Lord) who brought forth the pasturage, then turned it into black gussa (floodwater)’’ (87: 4,5)
As is quite well known the first flora on earth were giant ferns and pastures of algae. These vast pastures were later pushed underground through great geological upheavals, and transformed into oil through a special process of chemical reduction. According to conclusions reached in modern times, oil which is black flows in black subter-ranean rivers.

Floodwater’ is the clearest expression describing this underground flow of oil. In addition, floodwater drags residues of humus and so does oil. Humus is a dark brown organic component or organic component of soil that is derived from decomposed plant, animal remains and animal excrement. Humus improves the water-retaining properties of soil, adds nutrients and makes it more workable.

The geological workshop acts precisely, as designed by nature. And in its formation holds benefits for humanity, as could be seen by the use of oil as a source of energy and petro-chemical products. Nature has devised an industrial powerhouse for sustaining humanity.

These sacred and highly significant verses follow the ones laying down Genesis in clear and concise terms:
(Your Lord) who created and gave form (Your Lord) who made everything in measure and showed the way’’ (87:2,3)

These verses are the basic laws of the creation of universe, where all forms of creation have a certain form. And, all forms of creation have a measure, which is precisely proportionate, and shows the way to shape-up in natural scheme of things.
